| This shot shows the beautiful subtle quilted grain in the AAA maple top of the guitar. The maple cap is laid over paduak - a dense African hardwood - this means the Ridgehawk is a pretty heavy guitar compared to the lightweight Blueshawk. |
A completely new design for the Ridgehawk headstock - which gives a straighter string-pull than on the Blueshawk. This in turn leads to excellent tuning stability - a big advantage when using the notoriously unstable Bigsby tremelo system. This guitar stays perfectly in tune when using the trem - which is more than can be said for many mainstream Bigsby equipped guitars, including the Blueshawk. |

| The familiar Blueshawk outline is accurately reproduced in the Ridgehawk - however pickup choice is entirely different from the Blueshawk, with Seymour-Duncan humbuckers in both neck and bridge positions |

| The beautiful craftsmanship evident throughout the guitar extends to the neck - which has got to be one of the fastest and most comfortable I've tried. The frets are super-jumbo in size and perfectly finished.Dave at Ridgehawk prefers bolt-on necks not least because the body angle is finely adjustable using shims. The fit is perfect and the 'Hawk resonated beautifully unplugged and sounds sweet and woody plugged in... |
