On the 4th July we drove along the edge of Myrdalsjokull to Dyrholaey. Those images here that look monochrome are not - the colours are as they were. The first part of the journey along the South Shore on route 1 is shown here.

bales - there was a lot of haymaking activity on route 1 - most of the properties you see outside the towns are farms.

Dyrholaey - basalt sea cliffs, nearly-black sand and pebbles, on what is pretty much the southern most place in Iceland. This is a colour photograph!
